My RC Metal 1/10 semi-replica of the SU-102 (dedicated to WoT fans...)

Here is my RC semi-replica of a Soviet self-propelled gun. Metal only. This is an almost completely kitchen-table product, as I used a minimal amount of equipment and tools as I built it. I didn’t face any difficulties casting the aluminum mantlet, and I wrote articles on that earlier:

A long while ago, I and my father used to build small simple sailboats driven by battery-powered motors, etc.

Good whatever time of day it is in your area, men! I’m writing from Ust-Kamenogorsk City, Kazakhstan. Now, let me tell you about my little RC piece.

The body is made of expanded PVC. Units are made of toys. Radio control systems are all low-budget and proportionate. This happened to be my first experience in all aspects.

My two-dollar Arduino Nano RC key.

Hello, everybody! I’m here to present my own RC key, which I connect to the receiver, so that I can control heavy load. I saw different versions on tiny13 and atmega328, and I realized that a Tiny13 would be too low on memory and it could put me through a lot of nickeling and diming; an Atmega328 would cost me almost as much as an Arduino Nano. I also wanted a simple and familiar Arduino IDE, so I’d be able to quickly reflash it via USB.

I decided to make it open source and give other users an opportunity to build and modify it to suit their needs. I chose a two-dollar Arduino Nano microcontroller, the smallest one.

This is how it works:

My little rubber-band-powered 0.8 g straw plane

Hello, dear hobbyists! It’s quite a while since I went in for RC aircraft modeling, and it was then that I came across a video. It all but knocked me off my chair: it showed little planes hovering for about 10 minutes. I thought those were some extremely sophisticated RC aircraft. After digging a bit of info, I realized that those were rubber-band balsa planes and I wouldn’t make one, so I exited the page. Well, I’ve been in it for 2 years, so I have come across the vid again. It is summer, so I don’t need to go to school and have plenty of time. I read some forums and, to my great frustration, I realized that I was too broke to buy balsa (I do have a little cash, but I need to buy equipment for my RC Cessna). My great thanks to Vyacheslav Tchabanenko for a decent piece of advice! Straw is a material that paves my way. We have bluegrass growing in our yard: just go and take as much as you can hande! Then I found a simple drawing and built the aircraft. And now let me tell you how Ito build a decent piece without a penny in the wallet. Here are the specifications:
Weight: 0,8 g
Wingspan: 160 mm
Length of the fuselage: 130 mm
Duration of flight: 30 sec
